About

The Farmbrarian blog is a collaboration between Erin, an academic librarian, and David, a nutrition student and a future registered dietitian. A mutual passion for nutrition, sustainable agriculture, reading and teaching lead to the founding of Farmbrarian, where we gather and review books about growing and eating real food. If you’re interested in reading more about us, we were recently profiled on Mother Nature Net. You can read the interview here. You can also find us on Twitter and Facebook!

Aside from Farmbrarian, David blogs at Pound For Pound Dietetics, which focuses specifically on diet and nutrition.

    Hi Erin and David!
Nina sent your website and blog and I love it!!!
Maybe sometime you can do a little seminar at the Bank Bar in Hermann. We do carry some organic wine and vodkas, and have a nice little garten outdoors with a few herbs. I am interested in planting a green wall next Spring.
Anyway, just a greeting saying ~ I admire your efforts!
    Take care!

I will begin posting to my news feed of friends! I believe there is plenty of room to learn and talk on these subjects. Glad to see good people putting in the effort!

Just came across your site from reading Jenna Woginrich’s blog. I’m in the UK, but this is a lovely resource. Many thanks and keep up the good work!

Have you made already or thought about making a book review widget that other sites could use to link back to you? I administer a local food blog out of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada and I have been looking for a widget that would showcase good reads about food. If you ever make something like that, please pass it on. In the meantime I’ve added your link on our site. Thanks for the great resource!

    Take care,

Being someone who both works on a farm and also feeds that community, while also being a librarian, I was so pleased pleased pleased as punch to find a blog like this one!

Your entries are thoughtful and I have already read 4 of the books. It is great that someone is out there saving me some time and helping me find some great reads! Thanks!
